Those Shorts!

marbleized

I am going to go out on a limb here and predict that marbleized paper look will replace tie-dye as the new trend.

weird history

crystal

a crystal screen print I designed but it never actually made it thru to production.

miss you already holiday season.

Ugh

on a seperate note entirely chris has gone home to florida to visit family and left me here alone in new york with our awful plumbing. Lets just say I am not to handy with the plunger and looking back at it I have never lived by myself, always with family, room mates, boyfriends that I could sucker into taking care of the problem. Here's to independence and taking responsibility.

UPDATE: problem solved, expert plunger person here.
A little tip, hankerchiefs over your face and rubber gloved are key.

associative

Kate of: croak and hum created the most amazing associative flash cards. I love that it was an evolving changable project in shich after a few days the cards were switched to create new and unexpected pairings.
The words(adjectives) I associate with the project include, i will pick the Letter "s": spectacular, stunning, stellar,  scientific, ect ect ect.

hey beyonce!

I found my bar. Roughly 5 blocks away on Vanderbuilt and Dean is Weather UP. It looks a bit like a bathroom from the outside. But inside you will find an amazing collection of mustachioed mixologists dressed in 20's speak easy garb. I asked for my traditional ginger whiskey and they brought out the most spectacular ginger and bourbon high ball with a piece of candied ginger in it. For $9 its the most affordable cocktail bar I've ever been to in NYC.
I am so pleased
Thanks lele for showing me a new bar in my neighborhood!

WHat the WHAT??!!?

WARNING: this article might make you barf up your christmas cookies.
An Excerpt from Jezebel:

"Fecal transplants function "like an organ transplant minus the anti-rejection drugs": Bacteria from the health poop colonize the unhealthy colon and end up vanquishing the unhealthy bacteria. And now, the grossest part of all: How fecal transplants are performed.

"There's no one method. Brandt insists on a list of tests to make sure the donor doesn't have diseases such as hepatitis or HIV, or intestinal parasites. Then the donor, usually a close relative, brings in a fresh stool sample that Brandt liquefies and essentially drips into the patient's colon during a routine colonoscopy."

Thats right- drips it in.
