2 Year Anniversary DInner Celebration

I used a Kim K. smokey eye tutorial for my make-up. I am addicted to YouTube makeup tutorials.

I got this dress at Geminola about 4 years ago and it has these great felt flowers on the bust. I added a little spider I got a while back to add a little seasonal charm.
Dram Shop is our favorite place in Brooklyn. It is a bar but has the best burger in Brooklyn and has the most amazing fried mac&cheese squares. Which are best paired with a nice tall frosty beer. They freeze their mugs to make them extra frosty.

chris & I have matching rings from St. Kilda.

We fought over the last fried mac&cheese square because they are really that good

The #1 all time best burger in Brooklyn

Chris surprised me with Juniors which is another of our guilty pleasures. We mix the Lemon Meringue and theDevil's Food chocolate cheese cake. And it is sinful and just a little bit weird I know. But it is the best.

And we watched our favorite show "Ghost Adventures" watching Zach get scratched by ghosts is too entertaining to pass up. Especially on an anniversary.
I forgot to mention Chris gave me this 3D card at dinner. If you squint it kinda works.

And in it he surprised me with a trip to Warwick, NY! A little Backstory here: Chris Proposed to me in Warwick in a pumpkin patch using a paper mache pumpkin with the ring in it. We usually go to Warwick, NY every year to pick apples and pumpkins and get spooked out at a haunted house. But this year we decided not to for various reasons, and I have to say I was a wee bit dissappointed. But then, Chris being the master of surprises that he is, gave me this brilliant card with a map of our trip. This man I tell ya. So we leave tomorrow morning on another honeymoon adventure and I can't wait.

JAYNE MANSFIELD & HER HOT PINK PALACE

Summed up in one exquisite word: Perfection. Can I preface this with this is what my childhood dreams ( and adult dreams, don't tell my husband) are made of. It's such a shame that it no longer exists.

Jayne Mansfield's Hollywood home was a monument to what she loved, what any woman left to her own devises would love. From Pink shag carpet to black satin sheets. She was a major sex symbol of the 60's I mean she got married in a transparent wedding gown and reportedly had affairs with Robert F. Kennedy, John F. Kennedy, the Brazilian billionaire Jorge Guinle, and Anton LaVey.
In November 1957 (shortly before her marriage to Hargitay), Mansfield bought a 40-room Mediterranean-style mansion formerly owned by Rudy Vallee at 10100 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Mansfield had the house painted pink, with cupids surrounded by pink fluorescent lights, pink furs in the bathrooms, a pink heart-shaped bathtub, and a fountain spurting pink champagne, and then dubbed it The Pink Palace. Hargitay, a plumber and carpenter before getting into bodybuilding, built a pink heart-shaped swimming pool. Mansfield decorated the Pink Palace by writing to furniture and building suppliers requesting free samples. She received over $150,000 worth of free merchandise while paying only $76,000 for the mansion itself– a large sum nonetheless when the average house cost under $7,500 at the time.

The Pink Palace was sold after Mansfield's death and its subsequent owners have included Ringo Starr, Cass Elliot, and Engelbert Humperdinck. In 2002, Humperdinck sold it to developers, and the house was demolished in November of that year. Such a sad day, dang you Humperdinck.

Witchy Wednesday

I love how we made the witch, who in folklore is this horrible woman who eats children and casts evil spells on men and innocents into this sex symbol. I mean how many sexy witch costumes do you see every year on halloween. A witch is not a witch anymore. But I have to say these ladies have style.

Happy year 2!!

Remember that time we:
::Ate at the greatest restaurants with the greatest food
::Went on those amazing adventures to London & Paris
::Camped out in the grand canyon and those other canyons, and eaten so many marshmallows
::Cooked the most outstanding omelettes and pancakes, just wait til we open out B&B
::Saw those great shows, the Book of mormon and raunchy Burlesque and other assorted off off
broadway ones that we didn't really understand but whispered about under our breath
::Went up to Warwick every year and picked pumpkins and apples and watched corny movies at the
Warwick Drive in with a lg xtra cheese pizza
::moved across the hall to a new bigger apartment because I complained and complained, but now you
have an office and a place to hang all your deer heads you have been collecting

I can't believe I met you at your comedy show. I can't believe that on our first date to Spotted Pig and Little Branch ( which we still frequent to this day) you broke up with me only to call me the next day and everyday for the next week. We have been inseparable ever since. In our vows you promised me a million honeymoons. And it's funny that a hurricane destroyed our actual honeymoon but we ended up going on a million other "honeymoons" instead. Every trip we go on is a honeymoon. To replace that original honeymoon to St Lucia we went on a funnymoon to the Caribbean resort in Orlando because our sister in law could get us a discount. We ended up at a dinner show at Capones with all you could eat italian and all you could drink rum and cokes. We have so much fin together and I can't wait to have more fun with you.
I love you forever.
